Historically, it has made very interesting rugs and carpets full of character and folk art. This piece is unique as it features village life and vineyards, with the villagers picking grapes from the vines and putting them into baskets. The colouring of this piece is typical of Bakhshaish, with a camel-coloured background of blue and terracotta. This rug has a thick pile and is made from vegetable-dyed wool hand-knotted onto a cotton foundation.

The company's provenance and the rug are worth considering when buying online.
