It is situated in Kurdistan. For centuries, the Kurdish people have woven beautiful rugs and carpets in traditional red and blue, featuring a distinctive pattern of multiple diamond medallions interwoven with the Herati design. The wool is of high quality, with a lovely sheen, and is woven onto a cotton foundation. Sennehs characteristically have a very rough back, almost like sandpaper.

The company's provenance and the rug are worth considering when buying online.
