The main distinction is that the patterns are playful, using a rich colour palette and simple design, with stylised animals, plants, trees, or characters in block colour that often mimic an ombre effect. Some of the Loribaft pieces do not have fringes and are finished with a plain \u003cspan style=\"color: #0000ff;\"\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kilim\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\"\u003ekilim\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e end or binding, secured to prevent fraying.
