handmade-afghan-kharjeen-rug-308306
Handmade Afghan Kharjeen rug - 308306

This Kharjeen rug is handmade in northwest Afghanistan using traditional methods, but the design is more modern. You will notice that the rug has no borders and an all-over pattern depicting a variety of trees, plants, birds, and animals. Goats and peacocks can be found in a few rugs, but the moose is new to me. There are even birds sitting in the trees—an unusual grey-coloured background.

Please click the hyperlinks in gold if you are interested in additional information.

Afghan handmade carpets are becoming very well-regarded.
