handmade-afghan-heriz-rug-309822
Handmade Afghan Heriz rug - 309822

Sometimes it is challenging to determine where a rug was made. The design may be familiar, but the colours are not typical, nor is the weave the usual construction. This is one of those instances where the design originates from Heriz in north-western Iran, but it was actually made in Afghanistan. The colour palette of terracotta, pale blue, and soft gold works very well with the traditional Heriz design. The quality is mid-range, and therefore, this is reflected in the price.

Please click the hyperlinks below if you are interested in additional information.

The original Heriz rugs are predominantly woven and produced in Heris, in northwest Iran.
