It has a gorgeous palette of colours, soft terracotta, and a wonderful contrasting blue. The flora and fauna design is fabulous. This rug is a delight both in quality and design. Soft terracotta central ground with interconnecting flora and fauna design.

Please click the hyperlinks below if you are interested in additional information.

We recently commissioned these fabulous pieces. Clare oversaw the design and worked on the colour palette, ensuring the desired look was achieved. There are a few locations in and around Lahore where this is possible. The wool used is spun in Ghazni, vegetable-dyed, and Afghan from Karakul sheep; it is a unique, tough wool that is very different from anything you find native to Pakistan.

The Ziegler carpets, the result of a collaboration between the Anglo-Swiss entrepreneur Ziegler and William Morris, loosely inspire the hand-knotted design.
