We feel it is 80 -100 years old. So being able to repurpose it in such a way as to preserve it for perhaps another 100 years is exciting and environmentally sensible. We had sufficient usable Kilim for two ottomans and a Chair. We might even get a couple of cushions.

Please click the hyperlinks in gold if you are interested in additional information.

Salvaged Kilim rugs are often used to produce these pieces, particularly old Turkish Kilim rugs, which often feature intricate motifs with symbolic meanings. Vegetable-dyed wool is a beautiful natural fibre that generally contains high levels of lanolin, making it very practical.
